There’s this tiny little town called Eminence in Morgan County, Indiana. It’s tucked away in the country with wide open land for miles. Rolling fields, mooing cows and cute barns grace the landscape. I met Ashley & Garrett out on the farm for some engagement photos in the fall of 2013. This pier at Garrett’s parents house is where he asked Ashley to marry him. Check out these two furry friends! Angel and Cooper are now doggy siblings. 🙂 The sun was just starting to set and I love the warm, dreamy, fall colors we captured!
We had this idea to climb on top of the hay bales to take some photos against the sunset sky. I had a split second freak out thinking someone was going to fall and break their neck. I’d have to call 911 to a place I was unfamiliar with. Did I remember the address? How in the world would I give the EMTs directions? Do they even need directions? Don’t they use GPS and space gadgets these days? I could visualize the newspaper headline… “Client breaks neck while on photoshoot with Rachel Richard.” My career would be over. Eeeekkkkk…. BUT none of that happened. Ashley and Garrett were fearless. They pretty much played hopscotch and JUMPED from bale to bale like kids at recess. 🙂 Yeah, this set of photos are also among my favs from their session. SOOOO CUTE! I think it was at this point that Garrett said something about snakes loving to make nests inside hay bales. I have no idea if he was joking or not but I backed up and put some serious space between me and that hay. LOL! A little dirt never hurts. 😉Congratulations, Ashley and Garrett on your engagement and 6 month wedding anniversary!
